Erdogan Kicks Off Gulf Tour with Visit to Kuwait

(MENAFN) On Tuesday, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey arrived in Kuwait to begin a three-day tour of Gulf states, marking his first official stop.

His visit was warmly received as he was greeted by Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, in a formal ceremony.

The ceremony saw the attendance of various high-ranking officials, including Kuwait's Public Works Minister Nora Mohammad Al-Mashaan, Defense Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Sabah, other members of the Cabinet, and several Kuwaiti officials.

Additionally, staff from the Turkish Embassy in Kuwait were present to mark the occasion.

Accompanying President Erdogan on his trip are a number of key figures, including First Lady Emine Erdogan, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, National Defense Minister Yasar Guler, Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacir, Trade Minister Omer Bolat, Communications Director Burhanettin Duran, National Intelligence Organization Head Ibrahim Kalin, as well as other Turkish officials.

Following the welcoming ceremony, President Erdogan proceeded to Bayan Palace where he is set to engage in bilateral talks and meetings with Sheikh Mishal.

The visit is expected to culminate in the signing of agreements between the two countries. Later in the day, President Erdogan is scheduled to attend a formal dinner hosted by the Kuwaiti Emir.
